Anti-slip flooring

Safety floors for ramps, entrances, loading areas and wet spaces, with the surface roughness the regulations require.

Slips are one of the most common causes of accidents at work and in buildings. An anti-slip floor reduces that risk in areas where the floor may be wet, sloping or contaminated with oil.

We install anti-slip flooring on ramps and entrances to garages and car parks, loading and unloading areas, industrial sites, warehouses, commercial kitchens and wash-down areas.

Meeting the regulations

The regulations set a minimum slip resistance class according to how each area is used: a dry indoor corridor does not have the same requirement as a ramp, a shower or an outdoor entrance. We adjust the roughness of the floor to what each case requires, and also to occupational health and safety regulations in workplaces.

How we do it

Preparation

We sand or scarify the substrate and repair any unevenness and cracks.

Primer

We apply a primer that ensures adhesion.

Anti-slip system

We apply resins with aggregate or textured finishes with the required degree of roughness.

Sealing

We seal the surface so that the anti-slip finish lasts and can be cleaned properly.

We can also make an existing floor anti-slip without replacing it. From Viladecavalls (Barcelona) we work across Spain and on international projects.

Frequently asked questions

What level of slip resistance do I need?

It depends on the use and on whether the area can get wet: a dry indoor corridor is not the same as a garage ramp, a wash-down area or an outdoor entrance. The regulations set a minimum slip resistance class for each case, and we adjust the roughness of the floor to meet it.

Can an existing floor be made anti-slip?

Yes, by applying a resin system with aggregate or a textured finish over the floor once it has been prepared. It is a common solution on garage ramps and loading areas.
