Operarios extendiendo el pavimento de una nave

How we work

From the first visit to handover: this is how we organise every project so there are no surprises.

In building work, the result depends as much on the materials as on the way the work is done. That is why we follow the same method on every job, whether it is a small repair or the refurbishment of an entire building: understand the problem properly, propose a clear solution and carry it out in an orderly way.

The stages of a project

First visit and diagnosis

We go to the building, look at the problem and find its source. We check the condition of the substrate, the access and the surroundings, and talk to you about how the building is used.

Proposal and quote

We explain the solution we propose and why, and give you a detailed, itemised quote setting out the systems and materials. If there are several options, we explain the advantages of each.

Planning

We set the phases, the timescales and the equipment needed – scaffolding, platforms, rope access work – and coordinate the works with the owners’ association (comunidad de propietarios), the business or the occupants to keep disruption to a minimum.

Preparation

We protect everything that is not being worked on, signpost the work area and prepare the substrate: removing anything loose or deteriorated, making good and repairing the base.

Execution

We apply the chosen system following the manufacturer’s instructions and the drying times for each coat. We keep you informed of progress and of anything that comes up.

Finishes and quality control

We inspect the finished surfaces, adhesion and uniformity, put right any details and leave the area clean.

Handover and follow-up

We go over the finished work with you, give you maintenance recommendations and remain available should any issue arise.

Health and safety on site

Before we start, we assess the risks of each job and define the measures to prevent them. Our teams work with the right training and protective equipment, and we pay particular attention to signage and access control, especially when the works share the space with residents, staff or customers.

Working in occupied buildings

Most of our projects are carried out while the building is occupied or the business is operating. We work zone by zone, agree times for the noisiest jobs and keep access routes clean. In industrial buildings and commercial premises we plan the works so that downtime is as short as possible.

Have a similar project?

We visit you, assess the building and give you a detailed, no-obligation quote.

Frequently asked questions

How can I ask for a quote?

By emailing info@catalanarehabilitacio.com, calling us on +34 93 734 04 93 or using the form on our website. Tell us what the problem is and where the building is and, if you can, attach a few photos. We will then arrange a visit to see it.

Do you visit the site before giving a price?

Yes. Except for very simple jobs, we prefer to see the building: the price depends on the condition of the substrate, the access, whether scaffolding is needed and the real cause of the problem, and none of that can be seen in a photo.

What does the quote include?

The quote is itemised: what work will be done, with which system and materials, and how much each part costs, plus any ancillary equipment required. That way you can compare quotes and know exactly what you are paying for.

Which areas do you cover?

Our head office is in Viladecavalls (Barcelona) and we work across Spain and on international projects.

Do you work with owners' associations and businesses?

Yes. We work for owners’ associations (comunidades de propietarios) and their property managers (administradores de fincas), private clients, businesses, industrial buildings, commercial premises and public buildings.

What happens when the work is finished?

We go over the work with you before handing it over, explain what has been done and how to maintain it, and remain available should any issue arise.
